LOCATION - Lat 37°02'21.8", long 94°32'00.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.27 N., R.33 W., Newton County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 11070207,
REVISIONS HISTORY -
Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 898.31 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 900 ft NGVD29 from a topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

Water levels from 11/04/2003 to 09/30/2008 have been modified after being set to Approved status. Prorated corrections were needed from site visit to site visit because the pressure transducer in the well is unstable and constantly fluctuates +/- 0.2 to 0.3 ft and is therefore difficult to set. The following revisions have been made; a prorated correction from 0.38 to -0.17 ft for the period 11/04/2003 to 06/07/2004; a prorated correction from -0.17 to 2.50 ft for the period 06/07/2004 to 11/29/2006; a prorated correction from 0.67 to 1.10 ft for the period 11/29/2006 to 08/12/2008; and a prorated correction from -0.06 to 0.21 ft for the period 08/12/2008 to 08/05/2009. Also -2.5 ft measuring point height correction was applied to the period 08/20/2003 to 04/06/2010 after it was set to 'Approved' status. This was done to reference the water levels to land surface instead of the measuring point which is referenced in the field. The record from 10/10/2013 to 12/08/2014 was modified after it was set to 'Approved'. It was determined that the manual measurement from the field visit on 12/09/2014 was entered incorrectly as 70.06 and has been corrected to 70.60 to correspond with the archived field sheet. This resulted in the needed prorated correction being 0.17 to 0.04 being applied during the period 10/08/2014 to 12/09/2014. The record from 12/08/2009 to 04/07/2010 was modfied after it was set to 'Approved'. A prorated correction from 0.31 to 0.34 was applied to the period 12/08/2009 to 04/07/2010. However, it was discovered the field visit was on 04/08/2010 and not on 04/07/2010. This resulted in the needed prorated correction being 0.31 to 0.22 being applied during the period 12/08/2009 to 04/08/2010. GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 898.31 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 2.5 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 1, 1989 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 5, 2003 to present.
GAGE - November 5, 2003 to preset; DCP with telemetry capability was installed as the water level recording device. August 20, 2003 to present vented, submersible pressure transducer is water level measuring device.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Record processed by the USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - The pressure transducer at this site is unstable and constantly fluctuates +/- 0.3 ft. Also, this is an older transducer that measures water levels in millivolts and is not the SDI type device. The field personnel have a difficult time setting the recording device to the measured water level. Data from 11/05/2003 to 09/30/2008 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (4 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. This record is considered poor based on the water level measurements and the transducer readings at the time of the site visits. The period 11/05/2003 to 06/07/2004 is accurate to +/- 0.5 ft and the period 06/07/2004 to 09/30/2008 is accurate to +/- 3.0 ft. Data from 10/01/2008 to 04/06/2010 is fair based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to 0.5 ft. Data from 04/07/2010 to 07/21/2010 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.5 ft. The pressure transducer appears to be unstable or the well fluctuates continuously. Data from 07/21/2010 to 09/26/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. Data from 09/27/2011 to 06/13/2012 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.30 ft. Too much time elapsed between measurement and recorded data on sutron to rate this any higher in accuracy. The data from 06/14/2012 to 10/09/2013 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.50 ft. Pressure transducer drifting and Water level on 12/11/2012 was probably written down wrong as encoder showed a level of 74.67 ft. and measurement was recorded as 73.67 ft. and there was no reset. The data from 10/10/2013 to 12/08/2014 is fair based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.50 ft. The data from 12/09/2014 to 04/25/2016 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The data from 04/26/2016 to 09/19/2016 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The data from 09/20/2016 to 04/12/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The data from 04/13/2017 to 12/12/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The data from 12/13/2017 to 07/11/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The data from 07/12/2018 to 01/08/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The data from 01/09/2019 to 06/26/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The data from 06/27/2019 to 08/06/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.
