GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 343.42 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: MP (top of casing) altitude has not changed with time; land surface altitude rose after 1987, 1.8 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 8, 1956 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 31, 1956 to present.
GAGE - Stevens model A-35 chart recorder installed October 31, 1956. Stevens model 7001 digital recorder installed December 19, 1980. May 4, 2000 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from October 31, 1956 to May 3, 2000 furnished from MDNR. Data from May 3, 2000 to present processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS -

Furnished record rated fair (October 31, 1956 to May 3, 2000) because no MDNR water level measurements are available to verify daily values during site visits. These data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and is not available for verification. However, USGS hydrographers made 18 water level measurements from Nov. 1975 through March 1987 as part of project work that was used to verify the recorder data. Data from 05/05/2000 to 9/30/2008 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (11 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. This record is considered fair. Record from 10/01/2008 to 04/21/2010 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. Record from 04/21/2010 to 06/20/2010 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. Record from 06/21/2010 07/10/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The gage has a history of the float tape coming off the splined float wheel, which accounts for much the missing record. Record from 07/11/2011 09/18/2012 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the record. The record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/19/2012 to 08/18/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/19/2013 to 08/12/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/13/2014 to 06/07/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/08/2016 to 03/01/2017 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. The record from 03/02/2017 to 09/06/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. The record from 09/07/2017 to 04/09/2018 is good based on 2 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.15 ft. The record from 04/10/2018 to 09/10/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/11/2018 to 12/10/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 12/11/2018 to 04/14/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 04/15/2019 to 05/21/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 05/22/2019 to 09/22/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/23/2019 to 11/05/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.
