LOCATION - Lat 37°45'50.8", long 105°37'36.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.35, T.41 N., R.12 E., Saguache County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 13010003, in Great Sand Dunes National Park, 1,000 ft southeast of Indian Spring, 6.6 mi northwest of Great Sand Dunes National Park visitor center, 15.5 mi northeast of Mosca, and 24.3 mi northeast of courthouse in Alamosa.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2005 to current year (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 7,690 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
