LOCATION - Lat 37°52'12.59", long 76°19'03.19" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Northumberland County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080102, 2 mi east of intersection of U.S. Highway 360 and State Highway 200, 3 mi west of Reedville.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 701.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 670.5 ft, bottom of last opening 701.5 ft. Drilled observation water well, screened 670.5 to 701.5 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 110 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.34 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 7, 2011 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Aquia aquifer of Paleocene age. Water levels affected by Hurricane Irene in August 2011.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 153.88 ft below land-surface datum, Apr. 4, 2012; lowest recorded, 160.05 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 2, 4, 5, 2016.
