  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

Ozark Plateaus aquifer system
Eminence-Potosi Dolomites
LOCATION - Lat 37°53'06.1", long 90°12'53.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.25, T.37 N., R.7 E., Ste. Genevieve County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 07140105,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 857.78 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 857.70 ft NAVD88 from GPS (furnished). Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 857.78 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: DNR DCP platform, 1.5 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 1, 1942 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 30, 2008 to present. Gage was installed September 3, 2008.
GAGE - September 3, 2008 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability were installed as the water level recording and measuring devices. Unit values begin on September 30, 2008.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Data processed by the USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS -

Data from 09/30/2008 to 04/12/2010 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (8 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. Based on the water level measurements made during this period, the record is considered poor and accurate to +/- 5 feet, except for the period 07/27/2009 to 01/02/2010 which is good and accurate to +/- 0.2 feet. There were many periods when the float was sticking or resetting itself.

The record from 04/12/2010 to 08/25/2010 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.4 ft. Because the water levels in the well are in constant flux (+/- 10-15 ft fluctuations; 3 times per day) because of a nearby pumping well it is difficult to set the encoder precisely to the water level measurement.

The record from 08/25/2010 to 08/01/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.2 ft.

The record from 08/02/2011 to 09/09/2012 is good except for the period 05/20/2012 to 07/26/2012 which is fair. This is based on 7 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. The good record is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft.

The record from 05/20/2012 to 07/26/2012 is fair and accurate to +/- 3 ft. The counterweight was up to the DCP platform shelf whenever water levels dropped below 349.26 ft and water levels could not be measured below this depth. This would occur for several hours each day until the problem was resolved on 07/27/2012.

The record from 09/10/2012 to 09/23/2013 is fair based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. Levels in well change quickly and tape comes off spline often which makes it hard to rate record.

The record from 09/24/2013 to 02/03/2015 is fair based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.50 ft. Rapid changes in water levels in well make it difficult to work the record with good accuracy.

The record from 02/04/2015 to 06/08/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. Rapid changes in water levels in well make it difficult to work the record with good accuracy.

The record from 06/09/2016 to 09/04/2017 is fair based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. Rapid changes in water levels in well make it difficult to work the record with good accuracy.

The record from 09/04/2017 to 12/18/2017 is fair based on 1 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. Rapid changes in water levels in well make it difficult to work the record with good accuracy.

The record from 12/19/2017 to 12/12/2018 is poor based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 27.0 ft. Several significant possible tape slips occurred during this time and rapid changes in water levels in well make it difficult to work the record with good accuracy.

The record from 12/13/2018 to 04/23/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.

The record from 04/24/2019 to 10/22/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft.

All later correction notes and remarks can be found in RMS as of 10/23/2019.
