LOCATION - Lat 38°02'30.1", long 93°46'47.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.22, T.38 N., R.26 W., St. Clair County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10290105,

REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 871.26 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 877 ft NGVD29 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 871.26 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 0.1 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 14, 1958 to present.

GAGE - Stevens model A-35 chart recorder installed November 12, 1958. April 17, 2001 to present DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.

COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from November 12, 1958 to April 17, 2001 furnished from MDNR. The record from April 18, 2001 to present, worked by USGS.

REMARKS -

Furnished record rated fair (November 12, 1958 to April 17, 2001)based on 32 recorded water level measurements made between Oct 1958 and April 1990. Historic data were available for the period Aug 1973 to April 1990 for comparison and analysis. This data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). The record from April 17, 2001 to September 30, 2008 was worked by the USGS and MDNR with 18 available water level measurements for comparison. This record is considered good and accurate to +/- 0.2 ft.

The data from 10/01/2008 to 04/13/2010 is good based on 6 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.2 ft. A water level measurement dated as 10/29/2008 is believed as being made on 10/29/2009. The gage was restarted on 10/29/2009 and the field data is in agreement with recorded water levels on this date and not on 10/29/2008. Therefore the date was changed in GWSI to 2009.

Data from 04/13/2010 to 03/20/2011 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.15 ft. It appears the float has a tendency to stick on occaision, if not for this the record would be accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.

The record from 03/21/2011 to 04/04/2012 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.15 ft. This error is caused primarily by the periods when the float is sticking. During most site visits the water level measurement and DCP are with +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 04/05/2012 to 11/05/2013 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/06/2013 to 11/11/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/12/2014 to 05/03/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 05/04/2016 to 10/11/2016 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 10/12/2016 to 06/06/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.10 ft. The record from 06/07/2017 to 01/23/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. The record from 01/24/2018 to 07/11/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. The record from 07/12/2018 to 04/17/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.
