GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 1,349 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 1,338 ft, bottom of last opening 1,343 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 180 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 3.00 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 2, 2012 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1976 to December 1978, August 2012 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger, 15 minute record interval. June 1976 to December 1978, occasional measurement with chalked tape by USGS personnel.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Lower Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous age. Water level affected by regional drawdown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 167.05 ft below land-surface datum, June 23, 1976; lowest recorded, 209.94 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 5, 2017.
