LOCATION - Lat 38°33'48.6", long 76°41'07.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Prince George's County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02060006, 0.4 mi. south of Eagle Harbor.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 870 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 860 ft, bottom of last opening 870 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 27.98 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter platform, 2.59 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 4, 1993 to Aug. 22, 2019; Top of steel casing, 2.49 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 22, 2019 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder. Maryland Groundwater-Level Monitoring Network observation well.

Equipped with digital water-level recorder--15-minute recorder interval from August 2019 to current year. Water levels are affected by local and regional groundwater withdrawal.
  • EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 9.64 ft above sea level, (which is 18.34 ft Below Land Surface) January 11, 1975 (recorder); lowest measured, 53.93 ft below sea level, (which is 81.91 ft. Below Land Surface) March 12, 2016 (recorder).
