LOCATION - Lat 38°53'51.1", long 104°45'46.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.22, T.13 S., R.66 W., El Paso County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 11020003, on left bank of Templeton Gap Floodway, 170 ft downstream of North Academy Boulevard bridge over Templeton Gap Floodway, 0.6 mi northwest of intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and North Academy Boulevard, and 5.7 mi northeast of courthouse in Colorado Springs.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2011 to current year (seasonal records only).
INSTRUMENTATION - Tipping-bucket rain gage with satellite telemetry. Elevation of gage is 6,415 ft above NAVD of 1988, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily precipitation, 3.74 inches, June 6, 2012.
REMARKS - Gage operated seasonally, March through October. Unless otherwise noted, records are not rated, and periods of missing record are not estimated.
