  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 40°14'44.2", long 93°44'22.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.20, T.63 N., R.25 W., Grundy County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10280102,
REVISIONS HISTORY -
Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 783.60 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 790 ft NGVD29 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

The previously published data (June 26, 1985 to May 27, 1986) in Berkas and others, 1989 was modified by subtracting 2.5 ft (the measuring point height) from the reported water levels. This was done to reference the water levels to land surface instead of the measuring point to which the water levels were referenced in the report.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 783.6 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 2.5 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 29, 1974 to present.
GAGE - Stevens model 7001 digital recorder installed November 5, 1958. July 20, 2000 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from November 5, 1958 to July 19, 2000 furnished from MDNR. From 07/20/2000 to present, data processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - Record from 11/15/1973 to 04/21/1987 is furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Strip chart data and water level measurements were available for comparison for the period Nov. 15, 1973 to Dec 22, 1980. The record from 11/15/1973 to Dec. 22, 1980 is rated good based on the 19 water level measurements made during this period. The water level fluctuation varied about 0.1 ft per day during this period. No strip charts or digital tapes were available for comparison for the period Dec. 23, 1980 to May 27, 1986. Since this data could not be verified the record is rated poor, although the record looks reasonable. Record from 04/22/1987 to 11/12/1991 is furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). 18 water level measurements data are available for this. The record was taken from a digital recorder. Data were considered in error during periods when the float hung or the tape came off the float wheel or there was a descrepancy between starting and ending water levels. These periods were deleted. This record is considered good. Record from 11/13/1991 to 07/19/2000 is furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). No water level measurements are available for this period. The record was taken from a digital recorder. The record cannot be verified with water level measurements or ADR tapes and therefore is rated poor. There were several abrupt jumps in the data and could be due to the float getting hung. Data from 07/20/2000 to 04/07/2008 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (10 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. This record is considered fair. Record on days of field visits indicate water levels are within +/- 0.1 ft of recorded data; however there are extended periods without manual measurements to verify the record. Occaisionally it appears the float does stick, but sudden water level changes are less than 0.1 ft. Data from 04/08/2009 to 04/20/2010 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 04/20/2010 to 11/17/2010 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/18/2010 to 09/07/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/07/2011 to 08/13/2012 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/14/2012 to 11/19/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/20/2013 to 12/16/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 12/17/2014 to 06/28/2016 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/29/2016 to 03/14/2017 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The float frequently sticks and then breaks loose resulting in jumps of ~0.05 ft. or more. The record from 03/15/2017 to 01/31/2018 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 02/01/2018 to 04/16/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 04/17/2018 to 08/01/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/02/2018 to 10/23/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 10/24/2018 to 03/05/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 03/06/2019 to 05/15/2019 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 05/16/2019 to 11/18/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.

All later correction notes and remarks can be found in RMS as of 11/19/2019.
