LOCATION - Lat 40°41'41.2", long 77°35'38.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Mifflin County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050304, at Roseann.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 200 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 42 ft, bottom of last opening 200 ft. Drilled observation well, cased to 42 ft, open hole.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 804 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of casing; MODIFIED DATE FOR AQ MIGRATION; 09/ /1983, 0.9 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 26, 1983 to Oct. 24, 1983; top of shelter platform, 0.95 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 24, 1983 to Mar. 27, 1995; top of shelter platform, 2.95 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 27, 1995 to Mar. 12, 2001; top of shelter platform, 2.92 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 12, 2001 to present. Elevation of land surface is from Lidar.
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1983 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval since April 2023; prior, 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Site maintained in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Daily maximum water levels are available for this well for the period of record. For some years, daily minimum and daily mean water levels may also be available from the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center Office.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Prior to October 2000, the extremes shown were based on extremes of the daily maximum depth below land-surface datum. Since that date, the extremes are based on the instantaneous depth below land-surface datum. Highest water level, 4.25 ft below land-surface datum, Sep 18, 2004; lowest, 77.13 ft below land-surface datum, Oct 11, 1983.
