LOCATION - Lat 41°43'16", long 91°25'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.22, T.80 N., R.5 W., Johnson County, IA, Hydrologic Unit 07080209, along the old Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad line, 900 ft southeast of intersection of Elmira Road and Rapid Creek Road, 5.5 mi northeast of intersection of U.S. Interstate 80 and State Highway 1, and 2.0 mi south of Morse.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 82.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 5 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Drilled observation well, cased to 82.5 ft. All depths below land-surface datum.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 755.99 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of cement cover, 0.3 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 24, 1941 to Jul. 1, 1975; top of casing, 2.5 ft above land-surface datum, Jul. 1, 1975 to Mar. 24, 1987; knob welded to plate on top of casing, 4.01 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 24, 1987 to Mar. 9, 1995; top of casing, 3.63 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 9, 1995 to present.
