LOCATION - Lat 41°46'42.6", long 77°23'52.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Tioga County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050205, at U.S. Geological Survey Northern Appalachian Research Laboratory near Asaph.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 45 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 40 ft, bottom of last opening 45 ft. Observation well, drilled to 45 ft in 1984. Diameter 2 in., PVC casing to 40 ft, perforated PVC pipe from 40 to 45 ft. Well depth has decreased to 42 ft as of July 16, 2012 because of sand entry through slotted pipe.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,173.97 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Well was vandalized. New stickup casing installed on 12-03-2014 MP is top of casing, 2.84 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 3, 2014 to present. Elevation of land surface is 1,173.97 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from survey. Measuring point: Top of casing, 2.84 ft above land-surface datum since Dec 3, 2014.
GAGE - 30-PSI In-Situ Level Troll pressure transducer with built in recorder at 15-minute recording interval.
COOPERATION - Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Geological Survey. This station managed by the Williamsport office.
REMARKS - In addition to the daily mean water level shown below, daily minimum and maximum water levels are also available from the U.S. Geological Survey Pennsylvania Water Science Center. Water level affected by pumping from 4 supply wells at the Northern Appalachian Research Laboratory.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - October 2012 to Aug 24, 2017.
