LOCATION - Lat 42°15'47.4", long 88°14'23.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.25, T.44 N., R.8 E., McHenry County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, 25 feet south of barn near northern end of Prairieview Education Center parking lot, 98 feet west of parking lot, 0.2 miles east of Buhl Road, 0.2 miles north of Behan Road, 0.2 miles southeast of Route 176, 1.2 miles north of Oakwood Hills, and 1.0 mile west of Fox River. Owner: Illinois State Geological Survey.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 842.31 ft NAVD88 on May 30, 2023, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Land-surface datum was previously published as 835 ft NGVD29 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 30, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
 
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 192.3 ft. Upper casing diameter undefined; top of first opening 187 ft, bottom of last opening 192 ft. Well-casing includes 2-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 842.31 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Black mark on top north side of PVC well casing, 2.93 ft above land-surface datum, Nov. 2, 2002 to present.  
PERIOD OF RECORD -
GROUND-WATER LEVELS: August 2010 to current. Prior to August 2010,
    observation well readings available from the Illinois State Geological Survey.
