LOCATION - Lat 42°23'07.7", long 88°19'56.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.17, T.45 N., R.8 E., McHenry County, IL, Hydrologic Unit 07120006, 25 ft. south of McCullom Lake Road, 36 ft. west of the Harrison-Benwell Park entrance, 0.1 mi. northwest of Harrison Elementary School, 0.8 mi. east of the town of Wonder Lake, 0.9 mi. east of Wonder Lake, and 1.9 mi. southeast of Ringwood and Route 31. Owner: McHenry County.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 863.52 ft NAVD88 on May 30, 2023, as determined by a GNSS Level II survey. Land-surface datum was previously published as 863.18 ft NAVD88 (furnished). Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 30, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.
 
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 25.9 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 25.4 ft, bottom of last opening 25.9 ft. Well-casing includes 2-inch schedule 40 PVC pipe, 8 in. diameter borehole with bentonite seal, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 863.52 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of PVC casing; high point marked, 2.74 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 1, 2008 to present.

GROUND-WATER LEVELS: Highest water level, 4.79 ft below land-surface datum, May 18, 2020; lowest, 16.01 ft below land-surface datum, February 16 , 2022.
WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 15.1oC, Several days during 2012; Minimum, 9.6 oC, Several days during 2011, and 2014-2015.
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 2,590 uS/cm at 25oC, November 20-21, 2015; Minimum, 1,290 uS/cm at 25oC, April 26, 2011.
