LOCATION - Lat 44°22'54", long 98°17'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.32, T.111 N., R.62 W., Beadle County, SD, Hydrologic Unit 10160006, 4 mi west and 1 mi north of Huron. Owner: South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources (SDDENR). SDDENR identifier BD-79C.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 102.3 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 87.3 ft, bottom of last opening 102.3 ft. Drilled observation water well. Well diameter 2 in., depth 110 ft, cased to 105 ft, finished with well point and 15 ft of slotted casing.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,307.89 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Unknown, 2.9 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 21, 1990 to present; Notch in top of pvc well casing, 3.43 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 1, 2016 to present.  
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 26, 1979, to Apr. 30, 2000, data collected and reported by SDDENR, periodic measurements by USGS May 1, 2000, to June 15, 2016. Continuous recorder June 16, 2016 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.
REMARKS - For June 16, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2023, records good. Satellite data-collection platform at station. Water levels affected by pumping of nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 6.05 ft below land-surface datum, May 22, 2020. Lowest water level, 45.10 ft below land-surface datum, Aug. 18, 1988.
