- For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.

LOCATION - Lat 18°12'06.45", long 66°43'56.82" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Lares Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010002,
on west side of State Road 123, about 2.6 mi (4.16 km) north west of Adjuntas, 1.21 mi (1.94 km) north east of Capáez School, and 1.98 mi (3.14 km) south west of Pellejas Hoyo School.

DRAINAGE AREA - 14.7 mi², (38.7 km2) this does not include 6.0 mi² (15.6 km) above Lago Garzas.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Datum of gage was previously reported in the site file as 1260 ft (384.0 m) above NGVD29 and LMSL-Old PR. NGVD29 datum does not exist in Puerto Rico and the correct LMSL-OldPR elevation is 1172.32 ft (357.3 m), published historical records did not reflect this site file typo. Revised to PRVD02 Datum of 1171.86 ft. (357.2 m) in October 2022.

PERIOD OF RECORD - October 28, 2004 to November 16, 2016, discontinued. June 18, 2019 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite and radio telemetry at station. Datum of gage is 1171.86 ft. (357.2 m) above Puerto Rico Vertical Datum of 2002 (PRVD02) and 0.46 ft. (0.14 m) below Local Mean Sea Level (LMSL- Old PR).
COOPERATION - Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, (PREPA).
REMARKS - The massive concrete dam was completed in 1950 as part of the Caonillas hydroelectric system. It can provide an average of 41.385 acre-ft (50,614 hm3) per year for hydrogeneration in Caonillas.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 1,254.27 ft (382.30 m), September 22, 2008; minimum elevation, 1,212.28 ft (369.5 m), July 19, 2006.
