50146073 LAGO DAGUEY ABOVE ANASCO, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°18'01.93", long 67°07'42.82" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Anasco Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010003, on left edge, in a concrete tower at damsite, 1.35 mi (2.17 km) northeast from Añasco plaza, 1.30 mi (2.09 km) east from Quebrada Larga Abajo School, and 0.50 mi (0.80 km) from Cerro Dagüey.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Datum of gage was previously reported in the site file as 131.24 ft (40.0 m) above NGVD29 and LMSL-Old PR. NGVD29 datum does not exist in Puerto Rico and the correct LMSL-Old PR elevation is 100 ft (30.5 m), published historical records did not reflect this site file typo. Revised to PRVD02 Datum in October 2022.  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 16, 2004 to December 8, 2010, November 15, 2012 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite and radio telemetry at station. Datum of gage is above Local Mean Sea Level (LMSL- Old PR) and above Puerto Rico Vertical Datum of 2002 (PRVD02).
REMARKS - Lago Dagüey was designed and built by US Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation for the Puerto Rico Department of Natural Resources (PRDNR) in 1978 for flood control in Añasco town. It consist of a land fill dam (dike), 50 ft (15.24 m) height, it has a maximum storage capacity of 334 acre-ft (0.412 hm3) (based on data provided by the Puerto Rico Electric and Power Authority (PREPA), March 2004) and a 30 in diameter pipe for discharge through a tower located at the left handside of the pond. There is an overflow spillway that discharges directly to the Río Dagüey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 128.53 ft (39.18 m), September 20, 2017; minimum elevation, 104.72 ft (31.92 m), October 2, 2016.
