LOCATION - Lat 26°38'19", long 81°58'58" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.14, T.44 S., R.23 E., Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090205, in the median of Nicholas Parkway West, at the intersection of SW 7th Terrace.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 206 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 175 ft, bottom of last opening 206 ft. Artesian well, open hole 175 to 206 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 13 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelf, 15.72 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1978 to May. 12, 1999; Top of casing, 15.65 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May. 12, 1999 to Sep. 16, 2005; Top of shelf, 15.13 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Sep. 16, 2005 to Dec. 14, 2011; TOP OF CASING, 16.83 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Dec. 13, 2011 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1978 to current year.
GAGE - In-Situ Level Troll 500 pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Well was also used for salinity and chloride monitoring, discontinued Sept. 2022. Conductivity and chloride for previous years are available in the files of U.S. Geological Survey. Revised measuring point May 1999, for installation of new recorder shelf. Records of water levels prior to October 1980 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Station repaired December 13, 2011. See DATUM.
