LOCATION.--Lat 40°52'22.2", long 72°52'32.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Suffolk County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030202, at Brookhaven National Laboratory, northeast corner of Thomson Road and Forth Avenue, Upton.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 962 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 952 ft, bottom of last opening 962 ft.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1949 to June 1952, January 1954 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-level recorder installed September 2015; 15-minute recording interval. Periodic manual measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Cellular water-level telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 42.50 ft above sea level, April 2, 1979; lowest recorded, 33.75 ft above sea level, December 20, 2016.
