Station gage imageSTATION.--01573695 CONEWAGO CREEK near BELLAIRE, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 40`11'43", long 76`34'04", Dauphin County, Hydrologic Unit 02050305, on left bank 15 ft upstream from bridge on Prospect Road, adjacent to the Lancaster County Conewago Recreation Trail, 750 ft north of intersection of Prospect Road and Mount Gretna Road (Rt 241).
DRAINAGE AREA.--20.5 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 2012 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and water-quality monitor. Satellite telemetry at site. Datum of gage is 424 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS.--Flow can be influenced from upstream operations. Conewago Lake in Mt Gretna can be drained to permit maintenance, inspection, and repair of the in-lake structure.
COOPERATION.--Funding is provided by PA Department of Environmental Protection as part of a water-quality assessment of the Conewago Creek Watershed.
