STATION.--03049819 GIRTYS RUN ABOVE GRANT AVENUE AT MILLVALE, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 40`28'40.2", long 79`58'12.1", Allegheny County, Hydrologic Unit 05010009.
DRAINAGE AREA.--13.4 square miles.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 2008 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 716.8 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to January 2, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 720 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
GAGE HEIGHTS OF IMPORTANCE.-
Supplied by NWS: Action stage-8 ft; Flood stage-11 ft; Moderate flood stage-14 ft; Major flood stage-18 ft.
This station managed by the PAWSC Pittsburgh Field Office.
