LOCATION - Lat 42°24'06", long 111°21'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.06, T.12 S., R.44 E., Bear Lake County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 16010201, on left bank at Pescadero, 400 ft downstream from road bridge, 2 mi downstream from Bennington Creek, and 6.5 mi northwest of Montpelier.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,705 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to June 9, 2021 the datum of the gage was 5,950 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1921 to September 1954, June 1969 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1314.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 5,909.85 ft. above NAVD of 1988 from a Level II GNSS survey conducted on June 9, 2021. Prior to October 1, 1988 at datum 0.35 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by releases from Bear Lake at the Lifton Pumping Station and diversions for irrigation upstream of gage. Stage and discharge records are good except estimated discharge values which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 4,280 ft³/s, Jun 21, 1986; minimum daily, 23 ft³/s, Mar 14-17, 1936.
