LOCATION - Lat 44°28'17.20", long 109°25'06.07" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.19, T.52 N., R.104 W., Park County, WY, Hydrologic Unit 10080012, on left bank at BLM N. Fork Shoshone fishing access. 0.8 mi downstream from U.S. Highway 14-20 bridge, located 0.4 miles downstream (North east) of Wapiti School.
DRAINAGE AREA - 699 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,551 ft above NAVD of 1983, from digital elevation model.  October 1, 1989 to August, 30 2022, at site 0.6 mi upstream at different datum.
REMARKS - Diversion for irrigation occur upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of June 9, 1981, at station 06280000 North Fork Shoshone River near Wapiti, 4.2 mi downstream, reached a discharge of 20,000 ft³/s.
